Engaging the Seed of God’s Word for your Bountiful Harvest.

Engaging the Seed of God’s Word for your Bountiful Harvest.

Harvest is like result or return on investment. Harvest is a reward not an award or

free gift. The process of harvest begins with sowing. The seeds you sow, and

water today will determine the harvest you reap tomorrow.

Every great harvest begins with a seed. In the kingdom of God, the Word is the

seed (Luke 8:11). 11  “This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of

God. A supernatural harvest is not just about material blessings but includes

spiritual growth, answered prayers, breakthroughs, and divine favor.

The key to this kind of harvest is engaging God's Word—planting it deep in our

hearts and applying it in our lives.

1. Some sow for trouble Job 4:8 New Living Translation

My experience shows that those who plant trouble and cultivate evil will

harvest the same.

2. Some sow in Tear Psalm 126 5-6   They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.   He

that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again

with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

3. Some sow to the wind Hosea 8:7 King James Version

7  For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no

stalk; the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall

swallow it up. (worthless, purposeless sowing)

4. 2 Corinthians 9:6, 8 New International Version

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and

whoever sows generously will also reap generously 8  And God is able to

bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you

need, you will abound in every good work.

5. Sow in Righteousness Hosea 10: 12 Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in

mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the LORD, Till He

comes and rains righteousness on you.(Right relationship with God and his

people)

The word of God is all purpose seed, giving rise to salvation, healing, holiness,

protection, long life, prosperity etc

Ecclesiastes 11:3 King James Version 3 If the clouds be full of rain, they empty

themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the

north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be.

Jer 1:12. New International Version

The LORD said to me, “You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my

word is fulfilled.”

New Living Translation And the LORD said, “That’s right, and it means that I

am watching, and I will certainly carry out all my plans.”

Isaiah 55:11 so My word that proceeds from My mouth will not return to Me

empty, but it will accomplish what I please, and it will prosper where I send it.

Psalm 33:9 For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm.

Ezekiel 12:25 because I, the LORD, will speak whatever word I speak, and it will

be fulfilled without delay. For in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak a

message and bring it to pass, declares the Lord GOD

1 Kings 8:56 “Blessed be the LORD, who has given rest to His people Israel

according to all that He promised. Not one word has failed of all the good

promises He made through His servant Moses.

Luke 1:37 For no word from God will ever fail.”

Genesis 26:2,6,12-13

12  Then Isaac sowed seed in that land and received in the same year a hundred

times as much as he had planted, and the Lord favored him with blessings. 13  And

the man became great and gained more and more until he became very

wealthy and distinguished;

What are the condition necessary

1. A good and Honest heart – The heart is the proper place for spiritual seed

to germinate to produce harvest. Lk 8:15.

New Living Translation And the seeds that fell on the good soil represent

honest, good-hearted people who hear God’s word, cling to it, and patiently

produce a huge harvest.

When you plant natural fruit you expect harvest, well plant spiritual seed in

your heart and see miracle harvest. Get the seed, then the fruit will come

and the harvest will be plenteous.

Job 22:21-23 “Now acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace; Thereby

good will come to you. 22  Receive, please, instruction from His mouth,

And lay up His words in your heart. 23  If you return to the Almighty, you will

be built up; You will remove iniquity far from your tents.

Matthew 5:23-24 New King James Version

Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that

your brother has something against you,  24  leave your gift there before

the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then

come and offer your gift.

2. Plant your seed by the rivers – You don’t just throw your seed anywhere,

wise farmer plants by the rivers.

Isa 32:20. New King James Version 20  Blessed are you who sow beside

all waters, Who send out freely the feet of the ox and the donkey.

Job 14:7-9 New Living Translation

7  “Even a tree has more hope! If it is cut down, it will sprout again

and grow new branches. Though its roots have grown old in the earth

and its stump decays, 9  at the scent of water it will bud and sprout again

like a new seedling.

John 7: 37-39 On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood

and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and

drink.  38  Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living

water will flow from within them.” [a]   39  By this he meant the Spirit, whom

those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit

had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.

Rivers makes the condition more favorable for seed. The rivers represent

the Holy Spirit. 1 Corin 2:14, John 14:26, Act 1:8. The seed is made alive

by the Spirit. John 6:63, 2 Corin 3:6

3. Sow seed of Faith - Matthew 17:20 He told them, “It was because of your

little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed,

you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move;

nothing will be impossible for you.”

4. Sow seed by Sacrifice: (When it does not make common sense to sow,

then sow.

Genesis 8:22 New International Version

“As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat,

summer and winter, day and night will never cease.” (Noah has just lost

everything except is family. The first thing he did was to sacrifice.

Isaiah 9:3 New International Version You have enlarged the nation and

increased their joy; they rejoice before you as people rejoice at the

harvest, as warriors rejoice when dividing the plunder.

2 Corinthians 9:10 He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food

will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of

your righteousness.

Jeremiah 5:24 New English Translation They do not say to themselves, let us

revere the Lord our God. It is he who gives us the autumn rains and the spring

rains at the proper time. It is he who assures us of the regular weeks of

harvest.

Luke 12:24  Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither

storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are

you than the birds!

1 Corinthians 3:6-7 (Somebody must sow/plant

I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants

nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. Ultimately,

is not only your hard work but the blessing of the Lord that will produce your

harvest.

Matthew 6:26  Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor

gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of

more value than they?

Genesis 8:22  While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat,

summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.

The enemy of your harvest

Judges 6 3-5   Whenever the Israelites planted their crops, [f]  the Midianites,

Amalekites, and the people from the east would attack them. [g]   4  They invaded the

land [h]  and devoured [ i ]  its crops [j]  all the way to Gaza. They left nothing for the

Israelites to eat, [k]  and they took away [l]  the sheep, oxen, and donkeys.  5  When they

invaded [m]  with their cattle and tents, they were as thick [n]  as locusts. Neither they

nor their camels could be counted. [o]  They came to devour [p]  the land.
