In 1989, Thomas Akede received a divine call into the ministry with the mandate to proclaim the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and to declare the kingdom power of God to all nations.
To fulfill the call of God upon his life, God asked Thomas to leave his secular job. He resigned to serve as a full time worker in the house of God at Nations for the Lord Gospel Church in Ilorin, Nigeria where he was ultimately ordained a pastor in September of 1995.
Between 1989 and 1995, Thomas Akede served in various offices in the body of Christ. He ministered on an early morning radio program called Let Us Pray. He was also actively involved in a prison ministry, planning crusades and revivals.
In 1998, as soon as his assignment was completed, God brought Pastor Tom and his family to the United States of America according to the promise to continue God’s call upon his life. He served as a pastor at Christ Apostolic Church (House of Praise) in the state of Maryland.
