Meet Pastor Thomas Akede

In 1989, Thomas Akede received a divine call into the ministry with the mandate to proclaim the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and to declare the kingdom power of God to all nations. To fulfill the call of God upon his life, God asked Thomas to leave his secular job. He resigned to serve as a full time worker in the house of God at Nations for the Lord Gospel Church in Ilorin, Nigeria where he was ultimately ordained a pastor in September of 1995.
Between 1989 and 1995, Thomas Akede served in various offices in the body of Christ. He ministered on an early morning radio program called Let Us Pray. He was also actively involved in a prison ministry, planning crusades and revivals.
In 1998, as soon as his assignment was completed, God brought Pastor Tom and his family to the United States of America according to the promise to continue God’s call upon his life. He served as a pastor at Christ Apostolic Church (House of Praise) in the state of Maryland.

In 2006 the Lord revealed His next assignment to Pastor Tom by showing him a symbolic tree that grew assorted fruits, and the Lord spoke to him and said “It is time.” King Dunamis Ministries International Church was born: a church ministry impacting lives, represented by people from different nations of the world, just as the Lord had revealed. Pastor Tom is a constant blessing to all who come in contact with the grace of God upon his life, be it in Europe, Africa, or in the United States of America where he resides. Pastor Tom earned a diploma in Charismatic Ministry at Oral Roberts University in 2002, BA of Arts Calvary Theological Seminary in 2007, and Master of Arts Cornerstone University Lake Charles in 2013. He is a certified Christian Counselor, Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor, Professional Clinical Member of the NCCA. He is married to his sweetheart Christiana, and they are blessed with three beautiful gifts of God: Tessy, Lizzy, and Mercy.
